RUN YOUR TONGUE
We are currently hosting fortnightly events through Zoom. Please check our Facebook page for dates.
Run Your Tongue is Kettering's premier spoken word night, hosted by Rob Reeves (it's also Kettering's only spoken word night, but we don't mention that.)
The night runs as an open mic night where anything goes, within reason. Poems, stories, songs, jokes are all actively encouraged. Everyone gets five minutes to do their thing, with musicians being allowed to perform two songs. We also invite some of the best spoken word artists in the country to come and headline for us (see below).
RYT is a Pay as You Feel night, and anything we take on the night over the headliners' fees goes to support Johnny's Happy Place, a great, local Pay as You Feel café. In the three years we've been going, we've managed to raise hundreds of pounds for them to help support the amazing work they do.
The night is held every last Thursday of the month in the beautiful back room of The Three Cocks Inn, 48 Lower St, Kettering NN16 8DJ.
